On Monday we moved to the new camp - this is where Greenforce will be setting up their new project! The camp is cool it currently does not have much there and will need a lot of building work to be done so we were living in tents while we were there - luckily they had a toilet!
We spent the first day organising our camp and also doing some work around the school - they are currently in the process of building a school the main bulk of work has been done it just needs a few finishing touches! We spent the morning clearing an area for the toilet to be build which involved cutting down grass/plants and digging out big rock- tiring work in the hot sunshine!
The following day we walked up a hill which was cool good views at the top. The journey back down was not so much fun everyone decided we'd take the steeper faster route much to my annoyance and it had been raining the previous night so was very slippy! I must have fallen over about 10 times and was not amused! I spent the rest of the day cooking food - stew for lunch (yummy) and soya rice and beans for dinner - not bad even if I do say so myself! We finally mastered the greatness of stew in the last week of the trip!
On Thursday we went out for a drive in the morning out to the ranch which was sooooooooo good loads of cool animals to be seen and especially loads of cool birds! A good morning was had by all it was just like being on safari! In the afternoon I did a bit of painting at the school - the place is looking pretty good thanks to my painting skills! Then we waled up a hill to watch the sunset. While we were waiting we had a competition pf who could make the best grass people - unfortunately I didn't win although my grass man was amazing! The sunset was really cool very gorgeous and worth the wait!
Friday we left the camp and headed back to the snake park for one final night there! Which for me ended up being a very drunken night involving shooters and more konyagi!
On Sunday we made our final trip up to the Maasai village - we went up to the school to take them some desks - the children had organised a party for us and sang us lots of songs to show their appreciation for what we had done which was really lovely! Then we had the chance to say goodbye to all our Maasai friends
