After the raid

Once we realised we were safe we went to our bommas to see what state they were in - the boys boma was left untouched but the girls had been ransacked and there was stuff everywhere. It looked like they might have been disturbed half way through as my bed near the back was left untouched. They also left a lot of money just lying on the floor!

Next we had to sort out getting away from camp. The robbers had stolen one of our cars and also taken the keys to the other so we had to break in and hot wire it to escape. We then all piled into the car there were 9 volunteers, 2 Maasai, Jinx and our driver Wilson along with all out big rucksacks needless to say the car was pretty broke by the time we made it to Arusha!
