Aussie Football

I decided to head out to watch a game of Aussie football with a couple of the girls - none of us had a clue about the rules or anything s it was defiantly going to be interesting! SO we got there found our seats and found a nice man to explain the game to us! It was Collingwood and Port Adelade playing and we were supporting Collingwood! They have something like 18 players per side, a massive round pitch, 5 referees and an extra one at each goal! Its more like rugby than football but they can pass the ball forward as well as backwards and there are 4 post each side - if you kick the ball between the 2 middle posts its 6 point and the outer posts its 1 point! The coaches can also send messengers on to the pitch at any point during the game t give messages to the players - very bizarre!!! So Collingwood were winning for the whole game up till the last 20 minutes and ending up losing! But I really enjoyed the game definitely Worth a watch and at only $19 per ticket it was a bargain!
