Week 4 - Safari!

On Saturday we started our mid phase break - ended up having to have it early due to the raid! So we all headed off on safari! For the first day we headed to a waterfall camp - the camp is surrounded on three sides by trees and on the fourth side looks down onto a waterfall - very petty! There is nothing at the camp except a toliet so we begin our camping experience in tents! Once we arrived we all got changed and headed down to the waterfall for a swim - although it ended up being a bit of a mud fight - the boys got a bit carried away and attacked us! After e finished swimming we went back up to camp and had hot chocolate and biscuits (the girls mananged to eat most of them before the boys got back - good job!) Then we had our food cooked for us (one of the bonuses of mid phase break we don't actually have to cook!) so we had a gorgeous fish meal (i no i dont usually like fish but luckily it wasnt fishy fish and was very tasty!) and then we chilled out in front of the camp fire playing chinese whispers - very entertaining - and most of us were pretty rubbish at it!

On Sunday first we went for a walk up a chill it was so tiring - i am so unfit but it was worth it as the views were really pretty! After this we headed on to our next camp site and had a chilled out evening and there was lots of rain preventing us from doing much!

On Monday we got up really early and headed to the Ngorongoro crater - what an amazing day e saw so many animals! We got so close up to the lions it was amazing! We also saw gazelle, zebra, cheetar, hippos, rhinos, baboons and so much more - we saw something like 9 rhinos and there are only about 17 in the whole park.

On Tuesday in th morning we went on a waliking safari - and saw loads more animals - we got really close to a herd of buffalo and sat and watched them for ages and then we had giraffe nearly walking right up to us! In the afternoon e went canoeing in a lake with hippos in! Once I got the hang of the canoeing I quite enjoyed it! Tuesday we stayed at a camp site in the hot springs!

On Wednesday we went for a walk looking for crocodiles however didn't actually see any then we went swimming in the hot springs - the water was so lovely was so nice and relaxing! Then after lunch we headed back off to Arusha!

Wednesday night we all went out for valentines day! We went to a bar then to a really dodgy pub where they kept having power cuts before heading to colabus for lots of dancing!

We spent the next few days just chiling out in Arusha and had a few nights out drinking!
