My home in Eluai

Greetings to all!

It has been pouring it down with rain for the last few days and when I say pouring it down I mean excessive amounts of rain non stop! The whole camp just gets floodded and really muddy! We are now temporarily back in Arusha as we ran out of water!

The camp is really cool and we have been there for a week now! We live in bomas which are mud huts and there is one for the girls and one for the boys. Then our leaders have one each. We also have a cooking and eating area, a learning area (although it got half knocked down when the jeep crashed into it as the brakes failed!) and a rave cave (for Saturday night partying!) The camp is up on a hill so the views are really gorgeous!

We have two people on camp duty every day which involves cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner, washing up, disenfecting the surfaces and toliet and cleaing the water filters. Breakfast is usually toast, a rice dish for dinner and pasta, potatoes or beans for dinner!
