The Great Ocean Road - Day one

I have just been on an amazing 2 day tour of the Great Ocean Road! I had the front seat of the bus next to the driver so not only need I get lots of extra facts and info but I also got the most amazing views!!!!

We first headed out of the city and along to the Great Ocean road. We passed through Torquay before stopping for tea and biscuits by the river in Anglesea and I got stuck in a massive queue in the toilets so the whole bus had to wait for me and Sophie! Then we carried on through a few more towns admiring the views along the way before stopping to see cute koalas in the trees! and one was actually awake! Then we headed on to Apollo Bay which has a cute little beach and had shark and chips for lunch - yum yum!

After lunch we went to the Otway Rainforest where we went for a walk at Matt's Rest among all the cool trees and Bill our driver/guide talked us through all the trees! There were cool trees which have 3 trunks and one with a big whole in the trunk so we could climb inside!

We next headed on to the twelve apostles which was amazing - there are currently only 8 still standing but the views are fantastic! Then we carried on to see London Bridge which even though now half has collapsed there is still one arch and it is definitely worth a look! and we made our final stop for the day at the bay of Martyrs!

The trip up to the hostel was fun with kangaroos and wallabies jumping out into the road in front of the car! After dinner we went out the back of the hostel in search of kangaroos and saw loads! There was a mum with a Joey in her pouch and another 2 fighting it was quality! Then we did some star gazing and saw the Southern Cross and the Milky Way!
